JoyCast Recording Tips and Instructions

First, let us say that we are in gratitude for every ounce of light that you shine in this world! We are overjoyed for you to share a little light with us.

Here are a few tips and guides to make sure you record the best possible version of yourself with us:

When responding and recording, please breathe and be as authentic as your joy inspires you to be. Being authentically you is the best way to honor your brand and magic in this world. Plus, the whole point of this is to ensure that the audience gets to experience the unique power of your joy! So it is worth taking a moment to reflect on who you are in joy. Consider your journey into joy and what it has meant for you to recapture it, center it, and hone it in your life in the midst of storms and great change and transformation.

So, that said, here’s what we want you to do:

1. Go into a quiet room and turn off all notifications, buzzers on your phone, background noises, etc.
2. Start filling out the form and select the question you want to respond to.
3. Then, when you get to the recording page, just take a nice deep cleansing breath and consider your response to the question you selected .
4. Hit the ‘Record’ button and just flow with it. If you’re struggling with how to start, just being with “I choose joy in/when…” and go from there. Try to keep it authentic and conversational. (e.g., please do not read the question or prompts )
5. Please do actually answer the question and don’t jump straight into an ad for your business. We will make certain to highlight you and your business (e.g., specifically welcome you to the podcast, state your name, title, and preferred name of your business).
6. Talk for no less than 3 minutes and no more than 5 minutes.
7. When you’re done, click the “Stop” button and wait for the file to save (that may take a minute or two).
8. If you REALLY want to, you can listen back to what you recorded, but we prefer if you don’t – everyone hates listening to themselves. You can re-record if you feel compelled to.
9. Click “Submit” and we’ll joyfully take it from there! We’ll be in touch once the episode goes live so you can be sure to share it with your networks.
